Poland, post-Iron Curtain, faced economic and defense challenges. NATO and EU membership accelerated development, leading to opportunities for innovative management.

The events of 2014 prompted heightened security awareness.

In response, Mr. Venslauskas conducted research on Poland and the Baltic countries' market and security, culminating in the 2016 'Isthmus of Suwalki' blueprint.

Presented to Prime Minister Beata Szydlo, it aimed to enhance NATO security and drive sustainable economic growth across a 25,000 sq km area, with a €15 Bln investment.

Notably, the Government of Poland implemented aspects of the plan, focusing on Infrastructure and Scientific & Knowledge Hubs, including a new international airport and highways.

Solidarity Transport Hub (STH) is a megaproject of the Government of Poland aimed at the construction of a new, built-from-scratch airport to be located approximately 25 miles of Warsaw, as well as a new nationwide high-speed rail and controlled access highway network linking the CPK to much of the rest of the country.

The government has approved the plan for STH (a new greenfield airport) in November 2017.

Its most important feature will be an integration of air, rail, and road transport. The combined airport and train station is planned to serve 40 million passengers per year.

According to Beata Szydło's government, the port itself is to be built in 2027.

UK architect Foster + Partners and consulting engineer Buro Happold has been selected by the developer of Poland’s $ 8 Billion air-road-rail transit hub to be master architect for the terminal building, railway station and public transport interchange.

New Solidarity Transport Hub, which will be ‘dual purpose’ infrastructure that can be used by NATO forces to transfer equipment, goods, or humanitarian aid. It will increase security of Poland and CEE.

It’s one of the biggest ongoing infrastructure projects in Central Europe.
